A Christmas wreath on your front door, is a great way to welcome – and impress guests, and it’s probably the easiest way to make your exterior look festive. Plus, as the doorscaping trend continues to gain momentum, there’s nothing more Instagrammable this festive season (apart from a beautifully decorated Christmas tree, of course), is a beautiful wreath on your door.
With a style to suit every home, whether it’s traditional with holly, berry and pine cones, full on sparkle with glitter, or a scenic winter wonderland with faux snow, take a look at some of our favourites this festive season.
Since the 16th Century, pretty wreaths have formed part of our Christmas decorations – and there are lots of ways to use them. They’re most often used to create a welcoming display on your front door, but they also look great brightening up your mantelpiece or as part of a very festive table centrepiece.
Real wreaths, are a great if you want to perfume your hallway with the scent of pine and eucalyptus, but if it’s longevity you’re after, an artificial wreath might be more your thing.
Traditionally, the evergreens in a Christmas wreath held out a hope for prosperity during the winter months – but today we are much more adventurous about what our wreaths contain and how they are styled.
