Blog

Autumn trends 2023 takes us in a beautifully, retro direction where beloved design classics are making a comeback. The interior design trends for autumn 2023 inspire warm, cosy homes and below we are going to show you our top four must haves.

Retro

Have you spotted the 70’s florals and prints making their way onto home textiles and decor? Retro influences have emerged as THE trend of the season. Don’t worry, carpeted bathrooms will be left in the past… the reimagined 70’s aesthetic is all about earthy tones, geometric shapes and more eclectic home styling.

A few ways you may want to embrace the retro revival in your home:

  • have fun with your home styling, such as incorporating a few quirky pieces of home décor
  • embrace patterned textiles, think prints that play on geometric shapes
  • create the sense of warmth with a 70’s-inspired colour scheme, top picks are shades of yellow, orange and brown, punctuated with a few accents of blue or avocado green
  • floor lamps, and
  • lots of house plants.

Earth tones

Warm colours and earthy tones are an autumn staple that stay on trend, but which ones are the go-to shades in 2023?

While many of us associate shades of yellow with spring/summer home decor and styling, this year spiced honey has become a trending autumn colour! From glasswear to cosy throw blankets, you’ll find an array of home accessories in this warming hue.

Deep ruby reds and earthy crimsons make a bold statement by giving a room instant warmth and comfort.

The retro vibes that are coming from the autumn 2023 trends, the beautifully retro shade of mustard yellow finds its way into our interiors on everything from textiles to furniture.

Vases and lanterns are ideal interior details that will quickly renew your home and also allow you to test out the latest trends. Below are some great pieces available on the high street.

cosy cool

Super-soft corduroy, fluffy fleece and quilted velvet are just some of the cosy textures taking over this season. Continuing with the retro influences, these trending fabrics take us back in time.

Perfect for creating the ultimate cosy bed to curl up in or if you just want a small selection of the trend, consider picking up one or two feature cushions for your sofa or an occasional chair.
