The Interior Design Process

CONSULTATION
The initial consultation is an opportunity for us to meet and discuss your project so that we can get a better understanding of your needs. Further detail will come in the design phase. After our meeting, we will put together a project summary report detailing your aspirations for the project along with our design fee proposal. If you decide to move forward and work with Amanda Campbell Interiors, we will then proceed to the design phase.
DESIGN PHASE
The first part of the design phase will be a briefing meeting where we will ask detailed questions about you and the project. This will include discussing themes, colours and styles. It is helpful at this point if you have any references or images you can share with us. We will also take a detailed survey of the space and note any furniture or art work you wish to keep.
Back at the studio we will put a presentation together that includes; inspiration board, (scale drawings where appropriate), (CGI’s where appropriate), furniture schemes, fabric and colour schemes. Depending on size, it takes approximately two/three weeks to get everything prepared for the presentation meeting. You have the opportunity to amend the scheme at this point. All being well, you will love the design and we will then put together an estimate for all the furniture, fittings and labour.
PROJECT MANAGEMENT / IMPLEMENTATION
On the day of construction/decoration/implementation we will be onsite to brief the contractors and co-ordinate the work. Throughout the installation we will be on hand to answer any questions from the contractors and will carry out regular site visits to keep an eye on progress. We will also update you regularly. As the work nears completion, we will put together a snagging list (if necessary) to ensure that the work is completed to a high standard. Upon completion of the construction work, we will arrange for the room to be cleaned. On installation day we will dress the room with all the furniture and accessories ready for the grand reveal.
