Christmas Moodboard: Festive Colour Palettes for 2025

Blog

1 Dec

Even though Christmas might feel like it’s still a little way off, it’s never too early to start thinking about how you want your home to feel this festive season. This year, we’ve been inspired by natural textures, soft lighting and thoughtful pops of colour – a palette that feels both seasonal and serene.

For 2025, we’re seeing a beautiful mix of muted metallics, warm neutrals, deep greens, and soft berry tones. These shades work wonderfully together, whether you’re styling a tree, dressing a mantel, or creating a simple, elegant tablescape.

Here’s a closer look at the festive colour palettes I’m loving this year:

  1. Soft Gold + Cream + Warm Beige
A classic, calming trio that instantly creates a cosy, elegant backdrop. Perfect for a minimalist tree or layering textures like linen and wool.
  2. Deep Forest Green + Blush Pink + Soft Grey
Rich and moody, this palette brings a contemporary feel while staying soft and inviting. We love using green foliage with blush-toned ribbons or baubles to make a statement that isn’t overwhelming.
  3. Berry Tones + Muted Copper + Natural Wood
These shades feel playful yet grounded. Perfect for table styling or adding small touches across your home – think dried berries, copper candlesticks, and wooden ornaments.

To bring these palettes to life, think about mixing textures as well as colours: soft velvet cushions, knitted throws, wooden accents and warm metallics all help to create a layered, inviting look.

Styling Tip: Start with one base colour and layer two accent shades across different elements of your home – your tree, mantel, table, and even wrapping – to create a cohesive, curated feel.

For 2025, it’s all about combining warmth, texture and subtle seasonal sparkle to create a festive home that feels thoughtful, calm and truly inviting.
