Wallpaper has quietly made its way back into our designs and we’re very happy to see it there. Used thoughtfully, it brings depth, texture and character to a space in a way that paint often can’t, whether that’s through a gentle pattern, a subtle texture or a more decorative statement used in the right place.

Recent trends point towards natural finishes, tactile surfaces and timeless motifs rather than anything overly bold. We’re particularly drawn to textured wallpapers — grasscloths, linens and softly woven designs, which add warmth and interest without dominating a room. These work beautifully across living spaces and bedrooms, especially when paired with layered lighting and considered joinery.

We’re also using wallpaper more creatively throughout the home. Beyond feature walls, it’s a lovely way to elevate smaller spaces such as cloakrooms, studies and dressing areas, or to add detail to ceilings and alcoves. Used sparingly, it helps create a sense of cohesion and quiet confidence within a scheme.

Over the past year, we’ve incorporated wallpaper into many client projects, selecting designs from Lust Home and Little Greene, that feel both elegant and enduring. These papers have worked particularly well in bedrooms, dining rooms and cosy sitting rooms, adding just enough pattern to give each space its own identity.

If you’re considering wallpaper but unsure where to start, we always suggest beginning with one room and building from there. It’s often the simplest way to introduce pattern with confidence.
